Back to School Season for you HVAC System!

With everyone busy buying school supplies and preparing for the beginning of the school year, it’s easy to forget about your HVAC system. One of the biggest transitions for families when heading back to school is adjusting the temperature programming on your thermostat.

During the hot summer months, families with school-age children may have programming set in their thermostat to hold temp throughout the day. With the return of a school schedule, you will want to review your programming and look at setting your thermostat back to save energy while your home is unoccupied.

Back to school time is also a great time to plan ahead for the changing seasons. Schedule a furnace clean and check before cold weather strikes to ensure that your HVAC system is in tip-top shape. You can also inspect your outdoor unit and ensure it is clear of any vegetation or debris.

Lastly, keeping everyone safe and healthy for the return to school is important! Be sure to change out the filter in your furnace to keep your home’s air clean and your HVAC system running in top shape. Unsure about what kind of filter to use? Give us a call and we can help you select the right size and rating for your home.
